Why Purchase an Automated External Defibrillator
AEDs save lives. Every year an estimated 325,000 people will die from sudden cardiac arrest. Cardiovascular disease kills more people than all forms of cancer combined. Sudden cardiac arrest occurs without warning and causes a person's heart to suddenly stop beating. An electrical shock from an AED can be used to reset the heart's electrical system, resulting in restoration of an effective heartbeat. When a victim of sudden cardiac arrest receives immediate CPR combined with early use of an Automated External Defibrillator, that victim's chance of survival is greatly increased.
AEDs are SafeAn AED will only deliver a shock of electricity when a victim of sudden cardiac arrest needs that shock of electricity. An AED analyzes the electrical activity of a person's heart and only delivers its energy when needed.
You cannot hurt someone by using an AED. |
AEDs are EasyAn AED is designed to be used by someone with limited medical training. Turn on the AED and follow the voice and visual prompts given by the AED.
Our included onsite training gives you the confidence needed to operate an AED. |
AEDs are EffectiveFor each minute that passes during a sudden cardiac arrest before a victim receives a shock from an AED, the chance of survival decreases by approximately 10%.
